I thought it was outside the box as well.

saul

it doesn't need to have intent, it was a foul, plain and simple.

That pen was nailed on.

I would argue that palace's penalty was a wrong decision.
If you look at Ogbonna all he does is swing his foot at the ball to clear it. Benteke's leg came a the very last moment . It was a pure accident with no intent. Luckily the cunt missed it and justice was done

When Creswell was clearly fouled with intent he got booked for diving. Things have not got better this year vis-a-vis refs and penalties.

Shame. His quality shone through. I thought Musuaku was good when he came in and shame he got injured. He's got pedigree for a young player but he's just not as fluid and offensively decisive as Cresswell.

I thought the whole performance was good. At least we shoed some spirit and fight. Credit to Bilic and the players for that. They've obviously got a few things out in the open and resolved and was nice to see the players fighting for him. I feared he'd lost them.

Do Sunderland at home and things are looking a lot better.

It's a very odd rule that says you can appeal a straight red, but not two yellows.

After much searching and asking around at Ascot on Saturday we managed to find a couple of cabs take us Hammers in our party to a boozer that actually had a satellite dish.... I'll be honest I don't remember fuck all about the game apart from my cunting mate would not stop singing that Lanzini song for about 2 hours

It is odd, Russ, and it should be changed.

Most agree that you can't appeal every single yellow, but when it leads to a red and therefore a suspension, it should be open to the same scrutiny.

Well I never knew that. Things you learn.

So what's the difference between being able to appeal a sending off for a straight red and a sending off for a second yellow?

Seems odd. I always just assumed you could appeal any card after the match.

Unfortunately Russ, so a definite one game ban regardless. Cunty rule and thankfully only misses Sunderland.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't expect Cresswell's return to have such a massive impact on the overall team performance.

You wouldn't think a left back could make so much difference really.

Answer = Julian Dicks?

I think we need the ref to admit the mistake(s) in his report or we fucked

What? Can you only appeal a straight red?

Ten games for Slav to decide whether to keep him apparently before we have to cough up the 20 odd million.

Since when have you ever been able to appeal two yellows? Never.

Zaza, I thought, was very good. Worked his socks off.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-1
Absolute cert that the red will be rescinded. Neither were yellow's and even the foul was arguable that is was even a foul. Strange refereeing.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-1
I didn't get to see all of the game, so how did Zaza play please?

Good win against an in form side with a much needed confidence boosting clean sheet thrown in.

Can't judge anything by the highlights, but Obiang seemed to be everywhere and surely about time he was given a proper run in the team, which no doubt he will be now.

You wouldn't think a left back could make so much difference really.

I mean, you'd expect an attacking midfielder, or a striker to be the catalyst, but Cresswell made a huge difference.

Not just the goal, but they put together some superb interplay down that left hand side.
